Great choice for a smaller to medium shade tree. The dense, sprawling canopy makes for great shade. Shady Lady is the popular cultivar. Don't be conerned about all the small round holes in the trunk. That's from the yellow bellied sapsucker woodpecker. It's normal and harmless.
